Superfood Breakfast Bowl
Ingredients
Organic Rolled Oats
Organic Chia Seeds
Organic Cacao Beans or Nibs
Organic Hemp Hearts
Raw Mixed Nuts
Cinnamon Sticks
Honey
Spirulina
Crunchy Almond Butter
Unflavored Nutritional Yeast Flakes
Blueberries (or almost any fresh fruit)
Directions
Begin heating a cup of water and bring to low boil.
As water is heating, add oats, chia seeds, hand broken cinnamon sticks and honey into bowl.
Pour Water and mix oats to ensure water soaks into all the oats.
As oats are soaking add in the remaining items: Cacao beans or nibs, hemp hearts, raw mixed nuts, spirulina, crunchy almond butter, nutritional yeast flakes, and blueberries.
Modifications
Nearly limitless modifications can be made to this bowl. Amounts I add for each item are just based on my taste, preference, and level of hunger. Any topping can be removed and many other items can be added.
Base: Oats serve as the base for this recipe but I also enjoy removing the oats and having a base of bananas which can be combined with oats or replace them as the base.
Toppings: Everything else I classify as a topping. You might enjoy other toppings or replacements any variety of seeds, nuts, granolas, fresh fruits, or other superfoods make great toppings.
Suggested Modifications
Coconut flakes, granola, alternate nut butters.
Seeds: Any kind, seasonal favorites, sunflower, pumpkin.
Fruit: Strawberry, mango, apple, banana, papaya, dragonfruit, pomegranate, etc.
Why is this an amazing everyday meal?
This meal is packed full of fiber and proteins which are easily digestible. Eating this one meal each morning provides long lasting clean energy throughout the day with maintaining a feeling of lightness in your gut and body. With minimally processed foods, this meal is essentially raw. Other than honey which can be removed, the meal is Vegan. Gluten fee as long as the oats you select are.
