Teaching the Way to Self Mastery!

I teach yoga following the eastern tradition brought into the modern age preserving it's ancient lineage and power.

I received all of my teacher training in India, through mixed classical and more modern approaches.

Through my practice and teaching I respect the tradition and raise awareness to the true nature of yoga, extending well beyond "stretching and exercise". My preferred style of asana practice is Hatha and Kundalini as both are more focused on raising energetic awareness through the body vs simply stretching and loosening muscles.

Over time, I have come to understand that yoga when utilized properly is an extremely powerful tool to develop oneself towards mastery over the self.

Asana

The asana practice alone brings greater awareness of your own body, allowing you to gain flexibility and mobility over time. By gradually training and strengthening the muscles, you can achieve a feeling of youthfullness and grace in your everyday movements. Asana practice targets mastery of the body.

Meditation

When introducing regular routines of meditation and stillness you learn to quiet the mind. Which allows for greater focus of the mind and the ability to complete mental tasks dramatically improves with new mental clarity achieved from regular meditation. Meditation practice targets the mastery of the mind.

Pranayama

Pranayama or breathwork brings both physical challenges and mental challenges in ways you have likely never encountered in regular life. This practice can be used to bring your body and mind closer to stillness and enter meditation. This practice is also about direct manipulation of energy "prana" and directing that energy through your body. Some see both pranayama and asana practice as preparation for meditation, however, it brings a new level of challenge and insight that lacks if either of the other practices are conducted without it. Pranayama practice targets the mastery of energy.

When all of these practices are combined, they lead to rapid self realization and progressive mastery over the self.
